- 4 basic elbow strikes
- Punches: straight, hook, long, scoop, low, backhand, across
- 4 Basic kicking techniques
- 5 stances: Centering/middle, Forward, Triangle, Bow, Kneeling

Self-defense/ Control joint lock:
- Front choke 1 & 2
- Rear choke
- Collar grab 1 & 2
- Front hug with & without hands
- Rear hug with & without hands
- Side hug
- Control joint lock 1 & 2

Tactical techniques:
- 5 tactical techniques from 1 - 5

 

Beginning Disciple Level

3 months

- Review previous skills
- 4 kneeling techniques
- Jumping with ankle weights
- Other stances: Striding Horse, Low Forward, Crane, Octagon ... integrating with empty hand skills

Counter-Attack Level 1
- 12 counter techniques for punches: straight, hook, long, upper cut, low, free style (right and left side)

Tactical Techniques:
- 5 tactical techniques from 6 - 10

Beginning Form

Blue Belt Level I 

6 months

- Review previous techniques
- 5 stationary running exercises
- Falling/rolling techniques
- Mobile punching and kicking with targets
- 4 elbow techniques from 5-8
- Apply tactical techniques in sparring sessions

Self-defense:
- Frontal hair grab 1 & 2
- Rear hair grab 1 & 2
- Wrist grab same side and opposite side
- Two hands grab 1 wrist
- Two hands grab 2 wrists
- Rear two hands grab 2 wrists
- Control joint lock 3 & 4

Basic techniques:
- 4 counter techniques against kicks
- 4 leg attacks from 1 - 4
- 5 tactical techniques 11 - 15
