Dear All,
As you are fully aware, our members have from the
inception of the Tao Group viewed martial arts as an
effective means to self -cultivation. I myself have long
found the ideals and teachings of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao most
appropriate for our path. It is in honoring our
commitment to self- mastrey through martial studies that
our senior members and myself received discipleship and
began our training in VoViNam Viet Vo Dao several months
ago. Recently , during our March break , we received
further intensive training (Dac Huan) from senior Master
Cambinh of Sanjose VoViNam.
I wish to thank Tran Chieu for his support and
enthusiasm in pointing us the right way to VoVinam Viet
Vo Dao. Congratulations to Tran Chieu in his promotion to
Yellow Belt level III (Assistant Master); also to Boris
Pesa and Nguyen Tam who have been conferred Blue Belt
level III( assitant instructor). Tang Kheng has received
Yellow Belt (Instructor). I myself received a second -
degree Yellow Belt (senior Instructor).
As of April 2005, our training curriculum will focus on
VoViNam Viet Vo Dao. The Tao Group will be known as
VoVinam Scarborough. New students will receive
instruction in Vovinam Viet Vo Dao and practice on both
Monday and Friday classes 7-9:00pm.
Tang Kheng and Nguyen Tam will continue assisting me in
promoting Vovinam Viet Vo Dao at the C.C.C.
Boris Pesa will soon be on his way to running a VoViNam
School in Burlington in a forseeable future.
We welcome you all on board.
Steel Hand and Benevolent Heart!
Ha Minh Cuong
