REGULATIONS
1. ORGANIZER: WORLD VOVINAM FEDERATION (WVVF)
2. HOSTED BY: VIETNAM VOVINAM FEDERATION (VVF)
3. DATE: July 26-30, 2009
4. VENUE: Military Zone 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh city - VietNam
5. VISA : In order to ensure the smooth issuance of visas, each country/region is asked to contact the nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate for necessary paperwork and begin proceeding one month prior to departure at the latest. The Organizing Committee will send necessary document upon request, such as an invitation letter. Information for the documentation must be provided without delay. Each country is also asked to pay attention to the validity of passport for each delegation member. (It must be valid until the date of re-entry into each country).

7.1. The 1st WVVF World Vovinam Championships 2009:
7.1.1. Thi quyền (Performance techniques competition):
7.1.1.1. Male categories:
1. Đòn chân tấn công (leg attack techniques - 04 players, each performs 4 leg attack techniques).
2. Ngũ Môn quyền (Five-Gate Form).
3. Thập thế bát thức quyền (Ten-technique, Eight-principle Form).
4. Tinh hoa lưỡng nghi Kiếm pháp (Ying Yang Sword Form).
5. Tứ tượng Côn pháp (Four-Element Staff Form)
6. Nhật nguyệt Đại đao pháp (Sun-Moon Broadsword Form)
7. Song luyện Kiếm (Dual Sword Form)
8. Song luyện Mã tấu (Dual Machette Form)
9. Song luyện số 3 (Dual Form 3)
10. Đa luyện nam (Male multiple training - 01 player defends himself against 03 other players).
11. Song luyện Dao (Dual Knife Form)

1. Long Hổ quyền (Dragon-Tiger Form)
2. Song dao pháp (Double Knife Form)

7.1.2.2. Female athletes:

7.2. The Pre-Asian Indoor Games III Vovinam Championships 2009: (just for athletes from Asian countries).
7.2.1. Thi quyền (Performance techniques competition):
7.2.1.1. Male categories:

7.2.2. Thi đối kháng (Competitive contests):
7.2.2.1. Male athletes:
1. Under 55 kg
2. Under 60 kg
3. Under 65 kg
4. Under 70 kg
7.2.2.2. Female athletes:
1. Under 50 kg
2. Under 55 kg
8. DURATION OF COMPETITIVE CONTEST:
MEN & WOMEN - The duration for each contest will be 3 halfs, 3 minutes (real time) per half.
9. ENTRIES: 9.1 Each Federation / Association may enter ONE (1) competitor or team in each category.
9.2 Asian countries may enter BOTH the 1st WVVF World Vovinam Championships and Pre-Asian Indoor Games III Vovinam Championships 2009.
9.3 All entries for competitors must be listed on the enclosed forms and must be forwarded to the following addresses:

10. CONTESTANTS AGE: There is no age limit for competitors.
Reminder: For competitors under 18 year old, the second entry must be countersigned by parent / guardian.
11. EXPENSES - The Organizing Commitee ensures expenses for accommodation of 12 persons (01 Head delegate, 01 Coach and 10 official athletes) from 26 to 30 July 2009.
- Additional participants will pay 100 USD/person/day to the Organizing committee.
12. DEADLINES: A) Preliminary Entry by number: NO LATER THAN May 30, 2009.
B) Final Entry and Questionnaire: NO LATER THAN June 30, 2009.
C) Entry for Media: NO LATER THAN June 30, 2009.
D) Hotel Reservation: NO LATER THAN June 30, 2009.
E) Travel Schedule: NO LATER THAN June 30, 2009.
13. WEIGHT-IN: Each day of the competitions, the weigh-in will be organized.
• Un-official weigh-in: 06:00-06:30
• Official weight-in: 06:30-07:00
14. DRAW: The draw will be held immediately after the delegation meeting under the control and auspices of the WVVF. Each National Federation must send a delegate to attend the draw; a maximum of 2 delegates per National Federation will be authorized.
15. REFEREES: Team Referee: Each delegation can enter ONE referee (all expenses are to be covered by each team) who must hold a WVVF Referee License.
Nominated referees: decided by the WVVF. (The accommodation expenses with breakfast for the nominated referees are to be covered by the Organizing Committee)
16. NATIONALITY: Contestant must hold the same nationality of their National Federation. Contestants are required to show his / her passport during the nationality control procedure, in order to confirm their nationality.
17. VOVINAM UNIFORM: All Vovinam uniform must be in accordance with the WVVF regulations. The sewing of identification
of the jacket (abbreviation of country/region) will be done on 26 - 27 Judy, 2009 from 9:00 to 18:00 each day.
18. INSURANCE:
Each National Federation / Association will assume all responsibility for accident and health insurance as well as the civil liability for their contestants and officials. The WVVF and organizing committee refuse all the liability of any claims of illness, injury and death.
19. CEREMONIES:
Contestants are required to attend the opening, awarding and closing ceremonies in Vovinam uniform or official track-suit. It is expected that each delegation will have a uniform appearance.
20. LAND TRANSPORT: The organizing Committee will provide transport from TanSon Nhat International Airport to the hotel upon arrival and from the hotel to Airport on departure. During the Championships, transportation will be provided between the venue, training sites and hotels at predetermined times and schedules.
21. ACCREDITATION:
Two photos for each participant must be sent to the Organizing Committee together with the final entry form, for the issue of accreditation card. An accreditation card will be issued to each participant on his arrival at the Hotel and this accreditation card should be carried at all times.

23. METHODS OF COMPETITION: Competition is conducted in accordance with the WVVF Refereeing Rules.
24. NATIONAL FLAG:
Each National Federation / Association is required to bring two (2) National Flags (120 X 180 cm) and National Anthem (short version in cassette or CD) for ceremonies.
25. GENDER:
The female competitors may also have to undergo the Gender Control. The competitor that is able to produce a produce a gender certificate issued by an official institution will be exempted.
26. ACCOMMODATION All National Federations have to make a reservation and payment (for additional participants) through Vietnam Vovinam Federation.
